Our esteemed teacher Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan once said: “Everything begins with a dream, and at its foundation lies faith. If you believe, you will succeed.” These words hold great importance for those who dare to dream, transcending time.

Perhaps to sign a great invention, perhaps to establish a new company, or perhaps to create change. Whatever the purpose, everything has always begun with a dream. As dreams become concrete, they turn into goals. And in order to reach those goals, one must build on solid foundations with a visionary team.

With the slogan “Business Development Platform of Producing Turkey”, we set out on this journey with a new mission and a new vision, empowered by what the French sociologist Emile Durkheim describes as “collective consciousness.” Thus, we established the International Trade Matching Platform (UTEP).

With this initiative, our vision is to prepare our traditional trade approach for the world of the future, to lay the foundations of a trust-based financial system that puts humanity at its core and sets an example for the world, and to bring a fresh perspective to commerce.

In today’s rapidly changing world, only organizations that act quickly, adapt to the times, initiate transformation, and grow from small beginnings into strong mechanisms will survive. The world is undergoing swift transformation. Alongside this, climate events caused by global warming, pandemics, and global or regional political tensions may disrupt our work.

Therefore, to survive, we must change our perspective, put forth a vision for the world of the future, and start working for that vision today. We must plan our business in accordance with sustainability principles, build systems that can be managed remotely, strengthen business continuity with experts in resilience and risk management, and maximize our sustainable energy investments to minimize dependency on external energy sources. Because in our age, no idea or practice that contradicts the principles of sustainability seems capable of surviving.

For this reason, we must prioritize the production of sustainable, production-oriented, and high value-added products. Although recent investments in the defense industry and government-supported, high value-added projects are promising, our dependence on foreign raw materials and energy continues to hinder such investments. As industrialists, we must focus on increasing the added value of our products, prioritize the production of semi-finished goods and industrial raw materials, and create stronger structures under umbrella organizations to invest in the future.

As UTEP, in the rapidly changing and developing trade world, we have full confidence that we will be a leading umbrella platform for our industrialists, businessmen, and businesswomen in solving the problems they face in business life, exports, high value-added production, building sustainable business systems, reaching business networks worldwide, and accessing interest-free financial support for their investments.

UTEP, in the words of Yahya Kemal Beyatlı, is “the future rooted in the past”, and it is the voice of those who choose to stand with the changemakers and the builders of tomorrow.
